Terms of Service

Last updated: June 28, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Privacy Tech Courses at privacytechcourses.com (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

The Platform is operated by Curtis Mitchell and Mitchell Technology Consulting, LLC ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and Mitchell Technology Consulting, LLC.

2. Description of Service

Privacy Tech Courses provides online educational content on privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs), including video lectures, written lessons, interactive demos, quizzes, and curated resources. Courses are purchased individually and grant lifetime access to the enrolled user.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use this Platform. By using it, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

4. Accounts and Authentication

Access to purchased courses requires an account. Accounts are created automatically when you complete a purchase. We use passwordless authentication: you log in via a one-time magic link sent to your registered email address.

You are responsible for keeping your email account secure, since it controls access to your Platform account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Accounts are personal and non-transferable. Sharing your account credentials or login links with others is not permitted.

5. Purchases and Payment

Course purchases are processed by Creem, our third-party payment provider. By completing a purchase, you also agree to Creem's Terms of Service. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

All prices are listed in US dollars and are inclusive of any applicable taxes where required. Prices are subject to change, but the price you are shown at the time of purchase is the price you will be charged.

Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day refund on course purchases. If you are unsatisfied for any reason within 14 days of your purchase date, contact us at [email protected] and we will issue a full refund. No questions asked.

Refund requests submitted more than 14 days after purchase are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

6. Course Access and License

Upon completing a purchase, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, lifetime license to access the course content for your own educational use.

"Lifetime access" means access for as long as we operate the Platform and make that course available. We will provide reasonable advance notice if a course is to be removed from the Platform.

This license does not permit you to:

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display course content
  • Sell, sublicense, or share access to the course with others
  • Use course content for commercial training or resale purposes
  • Remove or alter any copyright or proprietary notices

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Platform in any way that:

  • Violates any applicable law or regulation
  • Attempts to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform or its systems
  • Interferes with or disrupts the Platform's infrastructure or performance
  • Scrapes, crawls, or harvests content or data from the Platform in an automated manner
  • Impersonates another person or entity

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

All course content, including but not limited to text, code, illustrations, diagrams, and interactive demos, is owned by or licensed to Mitchell Technology Consulting, LLC and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you beyond the limited license described in Section 6.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform and course content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Course content is intended for educational purposes and does not constitute legal, professional, or compliance advice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Mitchell Technology Consulting, LLC and its principals shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid for the course giving rise to the claim in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in California.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify enrolled users by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
